Meet the pack
At Project Pawsible, we believe the most important way to make the lives of our canine companions better is to educate their human families and create fulfilling, satisfying lives through training. We aim to work with shelters and rescues to ensure the dogs going into our community are putting their best paw forward. Setting up for success allows dogs to stay in their homes and out of our packed shelter system.
Our head behavior consultant has over 10 years of behavior modification and training experience through R+ & LIMA techniques, is a member of the IAABC and the IACP, and is certified in Animal Shelter Behavioral Management. Both trainers are certified in Mentorship II through Dogs Playing For Life. Project Pawsible is fully insured through Business Insurers of the Carolinas.

Larissa is truly amazing. Within just a few sessions, she helped us figure out just a few tweaks with our dogs Teddy and Bucky, that helped finally get their training where it needed to be. Even more importantly, she gave us the confidence to know that we were on the right track, and we are so happy with our boys’ progress. One thing that stood out with Larissa is her super calm demeanor, and also the fact that she communicates so clearly. I also love that she lets clients know that it is up to them to decide what’s okay in their own house (ie: dogs on the couch, barking, etc) and her job is just to correct the behaviors they don’t want. Very highly recommended!

We looked at various dog trainers in our area, but initially the reason I decided to go with Project Pawsible over the others is because of the initial questions that she asked to really understand my dog and the challenges we were experiencing. I felt like she truly cared by taking the time to explain, even before we even booked our first session. The name sold me too because I feel feeling like my dog Parker was feeling a little impawsible at the moment . From the very first session, Larissa took her time to go at Parker’s pace (and ours-she knows how nervous we were to introduce him to a stranger after a recent nipping incident) . She explained so much to my husband and I, and we are better able to understand how our dog communicates. I think the training was more for us humans! Parker has improved considerable after consistent training and we are so grateful to have found Project Pawsible. I know they’re going to do great as they continue to work with more families!

I highly recommend Project Pawsible for your training needs. We have had nothing but pleasant experiences with our dog trainer Larissa! She has helped us settle in our rescue dog with our other dog that we have had for 5 years. At first they had some trouble getting along as they were toy possessive but with Larissa’s help we were able to train them to respect one another and provide a safe space for both of them. They are doing excellent now and couldn’t be happier!
The trainers at Project Pawsible are incredible and extremely knowledgeable. I am a client with their Assistance Dog Program and they helped me find a prospect, worked extensively with me to ensure that my specific needs were being met, and went above and beyond for us when I encountered issues as a handler. We have also attended several of their reactivity classes which helped greatly with our biggest hurdle getting him trained for public access. They have been nothing but kind, patient, sympathetic, and supportive. I cannot overstate how much I recommend their services to both regular pet owners and for those in need of a service dog. My life is easier now that I have my boy to help take care of my health!
